‘Your-Man-In-Asia’ is essentially a husband and wife team, Marc and Rattakorn Lucas.
Marc is a Welshman born in the West Country of the United Kingdom, raised in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, educated in Guernsey, Cambridge and London and living with his wife, four children and two dogs in Chiang Mai, Thailand!
Marc’s commercial experience covers local and international retail, e-commerce and international trade with an ongoing bias towards marketing and business development, he is educated to MBA level.
Rattakorn (better known as Keaw Dee or KD) is Thai, born and raised in Chiang Mai, weaned on the golf course and, all our children aside, still holds a handicap of 12 and can drive a golf ball 250 yards!
KD’s sourcing and negotiation skills are invaluable to our business and our customers.
We have a parent company in the UK, an agent-partner in the UK and one in Switzerland we currently have customers in the USA, West Indies, UK, and Switzerland. Our experience is broad and includes both importing into and exporting from Thailand across a variety of products, our circle of contacts is strongest in furniture, silver, silk, packing and shipping out of Thailand and import procedures into Thailand.
The main advantage gained by dealing through us, aside from our wide experience, is our personal touch combined with good communication skills in both Thai and English (and the northern Thai dialect!).
